Iconic table lamp "Daphine" by Tommaso Cimini for Lumina, designed in 1975 in Italy. This white halogen version of the design classic combines a slender articulated arm with a precisely adjustable head — embodying Cimini's celebrated principle: "more light, less lamp."
Highlights: Model "Daphine" by Tommaso Cimini for Lumina, designed 1975 Classic halogen version in rare white lacquered finish Two-part articulated arm with pivotable, tiltable head Minimalist, timeless form — an icon of Italian industrial design Ideal as a desk, reading, or accent lamp in modern interiors
Description: The Daphine was developed in 1975 in a small workshop in Sedriano near Milan, marking the founding moment of Lumina as a company. Tommaso Cimini reduced the construction radically to its essentials: a compact cylindrical base with integrated transformer, a two-segment articulated arm, and a slender pivotable head with halogen bulb. The result is a lamp that delivers high light output with minimal material presence. This Daphine is the classic halogen version in white. A two-stage switch on the base allows the light intensity to be adjusted; the arm can be positioned for height and reach, and the head rotates and tilts freely. This makes the lamp ideal as a precise task light on a desk, a reading light beside a sofa or armchair, or a refined accent lamp in purist interiors where the engineering is meant to be seen.
Condition: Good to very good used condition with light, age- and use-related marks on the white lacquer surface — minor scratches and minimal abrasion, no significant damage. The articulated arm holds its position, the switch functions perfectly, and the lamp is fully operational.

Product Safety
This lamp is an original vintage piece. Prior to sale, a visual and functional inspection was carried out (cable, plug, socket, strain relief) as well as a test run. It has not been comprehensively tested in accordance with current VDE standards. Due to its age, the electrical components may pose risks (e.g. aged insulation, missing earth conductor). Before connecting to the 230V mains, it is therefore strongly recommended to have the lamp inspected and, if necessary, updated by a qualified electrician. Use is at the owner's own risk.
Manufacturer
Lumina is an Italian lighting manufacturer based in Arluno near Milan, founded in 1980 by Tommaso Cimini. The starting point of the company's history was the table lamp "Daphine", designed in 1975, which became an icon of Italian industrial design thanks to its reduced construction and high functionality. To this day, Lumina follows the principle of "maximum light, minimum lamp" – function determines form. Production takes place predominantly in Italy, using high-quality materials and in collaboration with international designers, resulting in a range of technically refined and formally restrained lighting programmes.
