Highlights: Manufacturer: EWÅ Armaturfabrik, Värnamo, Sweden Model: B-52 Period: 1950s Origin: Värnamo, Sweden Style: Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern, Atomic Age Particulars: Rare salmon/pale orange-red wrinkle lacquer — a significantly less common colour variant than the standard orange-red B-52; polished brass gooseneck with ball joint rather than standard gooseneck; yellow inner reflector in conical shade; embossed B-52 and EWÅ marking on base confirming model and authenticity; sculptural three-pronged cast tripod base Ideal for: Desks, studios, Scandinavian and Atomic Age interiors, B-52 collectors seeking the rare colour variant
Description: Among EWÅ Värnamo B-52 collectors, the salmon variant is the one to find. While the orange-red B-52 is itself sought-after, this pale salmon/faded orange-red version — softer in tone, warmer in character — represents a production colour that is encountered far less frequently. It is a lamp for the collector who already knows the B-52 and wants the variant that makes the set complete.
The design logic is identical to its more saturated sibling: the sculptural three-pronged cast tripod base that defines the B-52 as a model, the flexible brass stem connecting base to shade, and the conical shade with yellow inner reflector that gives the lamp its characteristic warm, directed light. What differs here is the jointing: rather than the standard gooseneck, this example features a polished brass ball joint — a detail that offers smoother directional adjustment and a slightly more refined aesthetic.
The embossed B-52 and EWÅ markings on the base are clearly legible, providing unambiguous model confirmation and authenticity. The salmon wrinkle lacquer is consistent across base, stem and shade, giving the lamp a unified, coherent character that reads as entirely intentional rather than faded.
Condition: The lamp is in very good vintage condition. The salmon wrinkle lacquer is intact and consistent. The brass ball joint is functional and holds position. The yellow inner reflector is present. The electrical components should be inspected by a qualified electrician before use.

Product Safety
This lamp is an original vintage piece. Prior to sale, a visual and functional inspection was carried out (cable, plug, socket, strain relief) as well as a test run. It has not been comprehensively tested in accordance with current VDE standards. Due to its age, the electrical components may pose risks (e.g. aged insulation, missing earth conductor). Before connecting to the 230V mains, it is therefore strongly recommended to have the lamp inspected and, if necessary, updated by a qualified electrician. Use is at the owner's own risk.
