Iconic Designer Table Lamp by Foscarini, Italy, 2000s Highlights:
Original Foscarini Twiggy Tavolo XL in black. Design by Marc Sadler for Foscarini, Venice. Three E27 sockets with round opal glass diffuser. Ribbed textile shade in large cylinder format on a slender metal stem. Flat disc base, black powder-coated. Foscarini marking present on the socket carrier, Made in Italy.
Description:
The Twiggy Tavolo XL is one of the defining table lamps of the early 21st century. Marc Sadler conceived the Twiggy family for Foscarini as an exploration of unusual proportions and sculptural lightness: an oversized cylindrical shade in black ribbed textile sits on a slender stem above a flat metal disc. Inside, a white opal glass diffuser combined with three E27 sockets produces an even, soft light. The consistently black finish runs from the shade surface through the stem to the base.
Condition:
Used, overall good condition. The shade exterior shows occasional light wiping marks and minor scratches in the textile. On the inside of the shade there is a more pronounced scuff mark with lighter discolouration and traces of adhesive residue; these are not visible from the outside when the lamp is in use. Diffuser intact. All sockets fully functional. Stem and base free of significant damage.

Product Safety
This lamp is an original vintage piece. Prior to sale, a visual and functional inspection was carried out (cable, plug, socket, strain relief) as well as a test run. It has not been comprehensively tested in accordance with current VDE standards. Due to its age, the electrical components may pose risks (e.g. aged insulation, missing earth conductor). Before connecting to the 230V mains, it is therefore strongly recommended to have the lamp inspected and, if necessary, updated by a qualified electrician. Use is at the owner's own risk.
