Description: The Supertube pendant is the hanging companion to the celebrated Ateljé Lyktan floor lamp of the same name — and in many respects the more versatile of the two. At 70cm, it works as a single pendant over a dining table, as a pair flanking a kitchen island, or as a repeated element creating a rhythm across a longer space. This pair offers precisely that last possibility: two identical Supertubes, available together, allowing an installation of considered symmetry.
The design from Anders Pehrson is the Supertube's characteristic logic applied to pendant format: a white aluminium cylinder, closed at both ends with black endcaps carrying a chrome disc detail, with the interior fitted with a white aluminium reflector that distributes light evenly across the full length of the tube. The effect is a long, narrow strip of soft, even light — a format that reads as both functional and architectural, and that sits comfortably in domestic, studio and commercial contexts alike.
Both pieces carry the original "supertube ateljé lyktan ab åhus sweden" manufacturer labels — present both embossed on the underside and printed on the body — confirming model identity and Swedish origin with the precision that collectors require. LED fluorescent tubes have been fitted, making both pendants ready to use immediately.
Ateljé Lyktan, founded in 1934 in Åhus, shaped Scandinavian lighting design for decades. The Supertube is among the house's most formally rigorous designs — a lamp that relies entirely on proportion and material quality, with no decorative supplement.
Condition: Both pendants are in very good vintage condition. The white aluminium bodies are intact. The black endcaps and chrome disc details are present and intact. The white aluminium interior reflectors are in place. LED fluorescent tubes fitted and functional. The original manufacturer labels are present and legible on both pieces. The electrical components should be inspected by a qualified electrician before use.

Product Safety
This lamp is an original vintage piece. Prior to sale, a visual and functional inspection was carried out (cable, plug, socket, strain relief) as well as a test run. It has not been comprehensively tested in accordance with current VDE standards. Due to its age, the electrical components may pose risks (e.g. aged insulation, missing earth conductor). Before connecting to the 230V mains, it is therefore strongly recommended to have the lamp inspected and, if necessary, updated by a qualified electrician. Use is at the owner's own risk.
