A striking desk lamp by Yasuaki Sasamoto for Dulton Co. Ltd., Japan, produced in the 1980s/90s. The lamp impresses with its chromed industrial look, technically refined articulated construction, and its commanding sculptural presence in the room.
Description: This striking desk lamp was designed in the 1980s/90s by Yasuaki Sasamoto for Dulton Co. Ltd. Particularly characteristic are the chromed metal, the matter-of-fact technical form, the high-gloss silver finish, and the elaborate details — the knurled grip, the solid articulated joint, and the retro toggle switch on the semicircular shade. The lamp unites functional industrial design with a clear design signature, and works equally well as a functional light object and as a decorative collector's piece. In the room it reads as sculptural and technically elegant. It comes into its own on a generous desk or in combination with modern, minimalist, or industrial interiors.
Condition: Good vintage condition appropriate to the age, with normal age-related patina, fine surface scratches on the chrome, and light signs of use. Fully functional.

Product Safety
This lamp is an original vintage piece. Prior to sale, a visual and functional inspection was carried out (cable, plug, socket, strain relief) as well as a test run. It has not been comprehensively tested in accordance with current VDE standards. Due to its age, the electrical components may pose risks (e.g. aged insulation, missing earth conductor). Before connecting to the 230V mains, it is therefore strongly recommended to have the lamp inspected and, if necessary, updated by a qualified electrician. Use is at the owner's own risk.
