Description: These wall lights were produced in the 1970s by Selene Illuminazione in the Veneto region of Italy. Their defining feature is the boldly coloured, satin-effect Murano glass diffuser in a clean pyramidal geometry, mounted on a black metal wall rail. The thick-walled Murano glass produces soft, atmospheric light, while the strong triangular form sets a graphic accent on the wall. The combination of warm, mood-setting illumination and the characteristic Italian glass vocabulary of the 1970s makes these equally valuable as functional wall lighting and as decorative collector's objects. In the room they read as warm, graphic, and sculptural. They work particularly well as a pair in hallways, flanking doorways, in stairwells, or above sideboards — ideal alongside dark woods, brass details, or restrained contemporary interiors.
Condition: Very good New Old Stock condition from historic inventory, with minimal storage-related marks. The glass is exceptionally well preserved; original manufacturer stickers are intact. The electrics are unused but should be inspected by a qualified electrician before first use. Fully functional after professional installation.

Product Safety
This lamp is an original vintage piece. Prior to sale, a visual and functional inspection was carried out (cable, plug, socket, strain relief) as well as a test run. It has not been comprehensively tested in accordance with current VDE standards. Due to its age, the electrical components may pose risks (e.g. aged insulation, missing earth conductor). Before connecting to the 230V mains, it is therefore strongly recommended to have the lamp inspected and, if necessary, updated by a qualified electrician. Use is at the owner's own risk.
Manufacturer
Selene Illuminazione (frequently presented under the brand name "Selène") is an Italian lighting manufacturer founded in 1969 by Severino Riccato in Marcon near Venice.
